Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Bellamia Collections ("we," "us," or "our") runs this online store and website, along with all of the content, features, tools, products, and services that come with it, so we can offer you a curated shopping experience (together, the "Services"). Our store is powered by Shopify, which helps us deliver these Services to you.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and how we use cookies and similar technologies — whether you're browsing, making a purchase, or simply reaching out to us. If anything here conflicts with our Terms of Service, this policy takes priority when it comes to how your personal information is collected, used, and shared.
Please take a moment to read it. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you've read this policy and understand how your information is handled.
The Information We Collect
When we say "personal information," we mean information that identifies you (or another person) or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include information collected anonymously or stripped of identifying details. Depending on how you interact with us, where you live, and what the law allows, we may collect or process the following — including any inferences we draw from it:
- Contact details — your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, and email address.
- Payment information — credit or debit card and financial account numbers, payment method, transaction details, and payment confirmations.
- Account information — your username, password, security questions, preferences, and settings.
- Transaction information — items you view, add to your cart or wishlist, and any purchases, returns, exchanges, or cancellations, plus your order history.
- Communications — whatever you share when you contact us, such as a customer support request.
- Device information — details about your device, browser, and network connection, your IP address, and other unique identifiers.
- Usage information — how and when you interact with and navigate the Services.
Session Replay and Website Analytics
We use Contentsquare, a behavior-analytics service, to understand how visitors use our website and to make your shopping experience better. Contentsquare helps us see which pages are most useful, where visitors run into trouble, and how we can make the site easier to use.
Contentsquare collects information about your visit, including: pages viewed; mouse movements, clicks, taps, and scrolling; the approximate date, time, and duration of your visit; your device type, screen size, operating system, and browser; and your approximate location (city or region, derived from an anonymized IP address). This may be collected using cookies and similar technologies.
Contentsquare does not record what you type into forms. Text entered into fields containing personal information — such as your name, email, shipping address, and payment details — is automatically suppressed and is never captured in session recordings. Payment card details are handled by our payment providers and are never visible to or collected by Contentsquare.
We use this information only to analyze and improve our website and services. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising. Contentsquare acts as our service provider and processes this information on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
For more detail, see Contentsquare's privacy policy. You can opt out of Contentsquare data collection at any time by visiting Contentsquare's opt-out page.
Where Your Information Comes From
We may collect personal information:
- Directly from you — when you create an account, use the Services, contact us, or otherwise share your information with us.
- Automatically — from your device as you use our products or visit our site, including through cookies and similar technologies.
- From our service providers — when they enable certain technology or process information on our behalf.
- From our partners and other third parties.
How We Use Your Information
Depending on how you engage with us, we may use your personal information to:
- Provide, personalize, and improve the Services. This includes fulfilling our contract with you — processing payments and orders, remembering your preferences and the items you're interested in, sending account notifications, handling returns and exchanges, arranging shipping, letting you post reviews, creating a customized shopping experience (like recommending related products), and generally making the Services better.
- Market and advertise. We may send you marketing and promotional messages by email, text, or mail, and show you online ads for products or services — including ads based on items you've purchased or added to your cart and your other activity on the Services.
- Keep things secure and prevent fraud. We use your information to authenticate your account, provide a secure payment and shopping experience, and detect, investigate, or act on possible fraudulent, illegal, unsafe, or malicious activity. If you register an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials safe — please don't share your username, password, or other access details with anyone.
- Communicate with you. We use your information to provide customer support, respond to you, and maintain our relationship with you.
- Meet legal obligations. We use your information to comply with the law and respond to valid legal process (including requests from law enforcement or government agencies), to take part in civil discovery or litigation, and to enforce or investigate potential violations of our terms or policies.
How We Share Your Information
In certain situations, and consistent with this policy, we may share your personal information with third parties for legitimate purposes, including:
- Shopify, vendors, and other service providers who work on our behalf — for example, IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, and fulfillment and shipping.
- Business and marketing partners who help us market and advertise to you. For instance, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your activity across different merchants and websites. These partners use your information under their own privacy notices. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to tell us not to share your information for targeted advertising. You can exercise those rights at https://bellamiacollections.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out.
- Third parties you direct us to — for example, to ship your products, or when you use social media widgets or login integrations.
- Our affiliates or others within our corporate group.
- In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or bankruptcy, to comply with legal obligations (including subpoenas and search warrants), to enforce our terms, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.
Our Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit is transmitted to and shared with Shopify, as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you live, for the same purpose. To help protect, grow, and improve our business, we also use certain Shopify enhanced features that draw on data from your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify itself. For these features, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal information, including responding to requests to exercise your rights over that use. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users). Depending on where you live, you may exercise certain rights over your personal information through the Shopify Privacy Portal (https://privacy.shopify.com/en).
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work, work more efficiently, and provide reporting information. Similar technologies — such as pixels, tags, and local storage — do comparable things. We refer to all of these as "cookies." Cookies we set are "first-party" cookies; those set by others, such as our analytics or advertising providers, are "third-party" cookies.
We use cookies to keep our store working properly, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, and — where permitted — support marketing and advertising. The categories below describe each purpose. Each entry lists: Cookie — Provider — Purpose — Duration.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Essential for the website to function; these can't be switched off. They enable core features like adding items to your cart, secure checkout, and account login. Because our store runs on Shopify, many are set by Shopify.
- cart — Shopify — Stores the contents of your shopping cart — 2 weeks
- _shopify_y / _shopify_s — Shopify — Supports core store functionality and secure sessions — Up to 1 year
- secure_customer_sig — Shopify — Keeps you securely logged in to your account — 1 year
- checkout_token — Shopify — Enables secure checkout — Session
Analytics / Performance Cookies
These help us understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve it. The information is used only to analyze and improve the site — not to identify individual visitors or for advertising (see "Session Replay and Website Analytics" above).
- _hjSessionUser_* — Contentsquare — Identifies a returning browser across sessions for analytics purposes; contains no personal information — 365 days
- _hjSession_* — Contentsquare — Holds current session data so page views within one visit are grouped together — 30 minutes
- _hjTLDTest — Contentsquare — Determines the most generic cookie path to use, so cookies work correctly across the site — Session
Functional Cookies
These let the website remember choices you make — such as language or region — for a more personalized experience.
- localization — Shopify — Remembers your country and language preference — 1 year
- keep_alive — Shopify — Maintains a consistent experience across regions — Session
Marketing / Advertising Cookies
Where permitted, these help us and our partners deliver relevant marketing and measure how our campaigns perform, including ads based on your activity across different merchants and websites.
- _shopify_sa_p / _shopify_sa_t — Shopify — Supports marketing and advertising attribution — Session to 30 minutes
- _landing_page / _orig_referrer — Shopify — Tracks landing pages and referral sources for marketing — 2 weeks
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
- Cookie banner: Where required, accept or decline non-essential cookies through the consent banner, and update your choices anytime.
- Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works.
- Contentsquare opt-out: Opt out of Contentsquare analytics anytime via Contentsquare's opt-out page.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): If you visit with a GPC signal enabled, we will — depending on where you are — treat it as an opt-out and suppress optional analytics and advertising technologies for that browser. Learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/.
- Opt out of sale/sharing: Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising at https://bellamiacollections.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out.
Third-Party Websites and Links
The Services may link to websites or platforms run by third parties. If you follow a link to a site we don't control, please review that site's own privacy and security policies and terms. We don't guarantee — and aren't responsible for — the privacy, security, accuracy, or reliability of those sites. Information you share in public or semi-public spaces, including on third-party social platforms, may be visible to others without limits on how we or a third party might use it. Including a link doesn't imply we endorse that platform or its operators unless we say so on the Services.
Children's Data
The Services aren't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us their personal information, please contact us using the details below and we'll delete it. As of the date of this policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "sell" or "share" (as those terms are defined by applicable law) the personal information of anyone under 16.
Security and Data Retention
No security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we can't guarantee "perfect security." Information you send us may also not be secure while in transit, so we recommend against using unsecure channels to share sensitive or confidential details.
How long we keep your personal information depends on factors such as whether we need it to maintain your account, provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our contracts and policies.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. These rights aren't absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and in some cases we may decline a request where the law permits.
- Access / Know. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Delete. You may request that we delete personal information we hold about you.
- Correct. You may request that we fix inaccurate personal information.
- Portability. You may request a copy of your personal information and, in certain cases and with some exceptions, ask us to transfer it to a third party.
- Opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Depending on where you live, you may opt out of the "sale" or "share" of your personal information, or of processing for "targeted advertising" as defined by applicable privacy laws. We use analytics providers, including Contentsquare, that act as our service providers and process site-usage information on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. You can exercise these rights at https://bellamiacollections.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out. If you visit our website with a Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal enabled, we will — depending on where you are — automatically treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device, and we will also suppress optional analytics technologies for your browser. If we can link the signal to a Shopify account, we'll apply the opt-out to that account too. Learn more about GPC at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. Aside from GPC, we do not currently respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
- Manage communication preferences. You can opt out of promotional emails anytime using the unsubscribe link in our messages. Even if you opt out, we may still send non-promotional emails about your account or orders.
You can exercise these rights where indicated on the Services or by contacting us using the details below. To learn more about how Shopify handles your personal information and any related rights, visit https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, as the law allows. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf — we'll ask the agent for proof that you authorized them, and we may still need to verify your identity directly. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal information, please contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision by contacting us, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process your personal information outside the country you live in. If we transfer information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we'll rely on recognized transfer mechanisms — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK's equivalent — unless the transfer is to a country recognized as providing an adequate level of protection.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we'll post the revised policy here, update the "Last updated" date, and provide any notice required by law.
